The Town of Webb Assessor, Tina Yuckel, and the staff are here to help.  As the Assessor my job is to estimate the value of each real property parcel within the Town of Webb.  Estimating the value of each parcel is a process that begins with the collection and maintenance of the physical inventory of the each property.  It is very important to insure the inventory is up to date.  The inventory of your property can be viewed on the Town of Webb Parcel Database.  If you do not have access to the internet you can call our office at 315-369-6880. The Assessor also maintains the ownership records of all property, approves or denies real property tax exemptions, attend all meetings of the Board of Assessment Review (Grievance Day) and records who is in a special district unit (for example: sewer, water service, fire, ambulance etc). 

My goal as the assessor is to make sure the market value of each property is fair, so that each taxpayer pays their fair share of the tax burden.

I would like to remind the Town of Webb property owners to file their exemptions by March 1.  To be eligible for an exemption you must meet the following criteria:

1. The property must be your primary residence
2. Be within the income requirements
3. For any senior exemption be 65 or older

The Burning Question: Does the Assessor Raise or Lower Your Taxes? 

No! While you may often see the job title of “Tax Assessor,” there is no such position defined by New York State law. Your elected officials who create and vote on budgets are responsible for tax rates and levies. This is a common misconception, which I’ll admit I had myself!
