Short-Term Rental Permits
On November 22, 2022, the Town Board adopted a local law creating Chapter 387 of the Code of the Town of Webb to regulate short-term residential rentals. On May 1, 2023, the Town of Webb began using a new online registration and payment system called GovOS for short-term rental properties. For more information about using GovOS, click here. Contact the Code Enforcement Office at 315-369-3001 for an account number and activation code to register your property in GovOS and to schedule an inspection. Click this short-term rental criteria link for a list of the typical items to be inspected. After completing the above, go to https://townofwebb.munirevs.com to register.
To Renew a Short-Term Rental Permit
Per the Town of Webb Code of Ordinance, Chapter 387, you are to renew your Short-Term Rental permit every two-years and remit a permit fee at the time your permit renewal is issued to stay legally compliant. If you have a GovOS account, contact the Code Enforcement Office to schedule your renewal inspection. If you do not have an account, please see the above paragraph.
Fire Prevention Inspections
Regularly scheduled Fire Prevention and Safety inspections are conducted in places open to the public. The purpose of these inspections is to educate property owners regarding fire safety and to identify any possible hazardous conditions. Owners are made aware of any violations and follow-up inspections are conducted to verify compliance. Typical violations are blocked exit doors, improper storage of combustible materials, insufficient emergency lighting, outdated fire extinguishers, smoke and fire detection systems, and overuse of extension cords. Most property owners appreciate our advice and become more vigilant once the violations are identified.
